Belugas Prevail, 3-2, Over Scranton
|
The Scranton Supernovas inaugurated their 2035 season with a tough 3-2 loss to the Brinkley Belugas at Nuclear Stadium. Starting Pitcher Ted Chong was named player of the game for Brinkley.
Had Matt Ouweneel not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Ouweneel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Belugas.
Ouweneel told a Brinkley News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
