Atoms Saddle Rawhides with 6-2 Loss
|
The exploits of shortstop Sandor Addicks, who leads the SAA in bases on balls with 66, helped the Bethesda Atoms defeat the Belvedere Park Rawhides, 6-2. Addicks was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Bethesda reliever Elias Ijzendoorn picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Teo van der Meulen shouldered the loss. Bethesda is now 50-38, Belvedere Park 51-37.
Addicks had a key at-bat for Bethesda early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Bethesda an early 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Addicks. "And not try to do too much."
