The Irving Blue Sox got a strong performance from pitcher Bob Bolen, who stymied the Lancaster offense en route to a 4-2 win at Blue Sox Ballpark. The winning pitcher was Bolen, now 6-2. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Manuel Montero notched his 8th save in 12 chances.

Phil Beck was a key contributor to the win for the Blue Sox. In the bottom of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a double to left. He went 3-4 with 3 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Bolen told the Irving Daily News.

The Blue Sox bumped their record to 39-26 with this latest triumph.
