Eclipse Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Starting pitcher Melvin Turner pitched well enough to help the Northville Eclipse beat the Bethesda Atoms by the score of 7-3. Getting the save was Szekeres Panna, his 3rd. Northville has now won 5 games in a row.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when shortstop Curt Taylor, who is tied for 4th in the SAA in doubles with 10, reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 2 runs. The Eclipse went on to win.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Northville manager Mark Everhart.
