Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Brenton Winston, the Irving Blue Sox defeated the Westwood Sixshooters, 6-4. Winston was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Blue Sox. Craig Fitzgerald earned the win for Irving. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 7-0. José Colón earned the save, his 3rd, for the Blue Sox.

Dale Goodman chipped in for Irving, stroking a crucial single in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.
