The 2035 season is getting ugly for Lancaster.

The Irving Blue Sox beat the Lancaster Farmers, 9-4, at Farmers Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Juan Jimínez, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ken French, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 9 innings.

The Blue Sox beat the Farmers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out triple Gidde Collin produced in the top of the second. Batting against Lancaster pitcher Ralph DePalma, Collin gave his team a 3-0 lead when he hit a bases-clearing triple.

"It was a solid team effort," said Collin after the game.

The Farmers, now 10-17, have lost 6 in a row.
