Farmers Win at Westwood, 2-1
|
Fans who came to Sixshooters Stadium watched the Lancaster Farmers and the Westwood Sixshooters fight to the finish.
The Lancaster Farmers got a stellar performance from pitcher Jorge Morales, who handcuffed the Westwood offense en route to a 2-1 win at Sixshooters Stadium. The Sixshooters fall to 7-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 2035 season.
The Farmers got a big at-bat from third baseman Alfonso Pacheco. For the game, Pacheco was 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Lancaster a 2-1 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Pacheco.
