Farmers Solve Continentals, 4-2

Behind a solid performance from first baseman Mike Sanderson, the Lancaster Farmers defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 4-2. Sanderson went 1 for 1 with a triple and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Farmers. Jorge Morales was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The loss drops Chesapeake to 8-7.
Sanderson contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Lancaster in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sanderson took a cutter from Adrián Padilla and stroked the triple to center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Farmers to leap in front, 2-1.
Sanderson told a Lancaster Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
