Farmers Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Despite a fine performance by center fielder José Pinto, the Belvedere Park Rawhides suffered a 6-4 loss to the Lancaster Farmers. Pinto went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Sakutaro Ohayashi got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 4. António Rodríguez picked up the save for Lancaster, his 2nd of the year.
With a runner on 1st and one out in the top of the seventh inning, right fielder Cedric Terriquez delivered big for the Farmers. Lancaster was leading 4-3 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Terriquez.
The Farmers, with just their 2nd win so far in 2035, have yet to catch fire.
