Hotspur Reserves Win in Extras
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Sacramento Redlegs at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Nobody did more than pitcher Tim Yoder, who captured player of the game honors. Phoenix is 41-57 and Sacramento, with the loss, 39-59.
Solomon Norment, who is rated as the 72nd best prospect by BNN, helped out the Phoenix cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI.
In postgame comments to the Phoenix Bulletin, Norment said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
