The Tortolita Drummers powered past the Key West Coral Reefers, 10-2, at Milton Corner Tavern. Harlan Thompson went 1-1 with 3 walks and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times, to lead the charge. Tortolita reliever Manny Sandoval got the win, raising his record to 4-4. Todd Serrano was tagged with the loss. Tortolita, at 52-43, occupies 5th place in the Menard's AAA.
Tortolita third baseman Tomás Costello helped the Drummers to the win. In the top of the third inning, the 28-year old second baseman stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, Costello was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Thompson. "And not try to do too much."
