New Orleans second baseman Ramón Garmendia was instrumental in his team's 7-6 win over the Boston Patriots. Garmendia, who signed a 6-year contract worth $48,000,000 on 01/28/2035, went 1-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Voodoo. New Orleans reliever Myles Wilkerson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Leo Ingelbrigtsen shouldered the loss. New Orleans now owns a record of 17-20.
Gilberto Juárez hit a run-scoring triple off Leo Ingelbrigtsen in the top of the ninth, which put the Voodoo in front, 7-6. Juárez had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Juárez said.
