|
Starting pitcher Lloyd Natoff pitched well enough to help the Sacramento Redlegs beat the Gryfindor Braves by the score of 6-4. Natoff, the winner, moves to 6-8. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Sheldon Whiteside notched his 1st save in 2 chances.
Sacramento catcher Jeff Perkins made his contribution to the Redlegs cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning. For the day, Perkins was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Gryfindor manager Allen Bartlett. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
