Coyotes Continue Skid Thanks to Curry, Buzz
|
A 4-RBI performance from Jackson Curry, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in extra base hits with 43, helped the Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Hamilton Coyotes, 7-6. The winner was Paco Manuel in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Gerardo García took the loss. Frank Porter was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 11 save opportunities.
Salt Lake City took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, pinch hitter Luo-lang Li hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Li, "but we got it done."
Salt Lake City has a 3-game win streak, while Hamilton has lost 4 in a row.
