Coral Reefers Clip Humpbacks, 7-6
|
Jason Alston left his imprint on the 7-6 Key West win against the Alaskan Humpbacks. Alston, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in triples with 4, went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. José Rosales sewed up the save, his 6th. Key West occupies 6th place in the Menard's AAA at 43-43.
In the bottom of the 6th, first baseman John Hansen gave Key West the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Coral Reefers had been trailing 6-5, but the two-out single off Alaskan pitcher Brandon Franklin changed that -- and Key West went on to win.
Hansen told the Key West Times: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
