Buzz Need Extra Frames to Get Past Red Pandas
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas got a superb performance from center fielder Lynwood Dimartínez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Salt Lake City. The Buzz won the game, 7-5. In spite of the loss, Dimartínez was named the player of the game. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Salt Lake City reliever Paco Manuel was the winner. His record is now 5-3. Júlio Maes took the loss. Salt Lake City is now 42-41, while Sioux Falls is 38-45.
Scott Ramsey had the most critical at-bat for Salt Lake City. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Ramsey hit a 1-1 cutter from Júlio Maes for a run-scoring single. It put Salt Lake City in front, 4-3.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ramsey told the Salt Lake City Daily.
