Tortolita shortstop Fernando Rincón had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to Phoenix at Thunderbirds Stadium. Rincón was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Phoenix has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Had José Souza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Souza hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hotspur Reserves.
