It was a fun time at The Bamboo Forest, where the Alaskan Humpbacks and Sioux Falls Red Pandas tangled.
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Alaskan Humpbacks, 9-1. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Gabriel Maldonado, who was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 38-42, Sioux Falls is in 8th place in the Menard's AAA.
Maldonado had a key at-bat for Sioux Falls early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Sioux Falls an early 3-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Maldonado told reporters after the game.
