Late Rally by Hotspur Reserves Secures Win
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves got a stellar performance from pitcher Abdel Alamini, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a 1-0 win at Houston Park. The save was credited to Ty McDaniel, his 5th. Phoenix has 3 straight wins, Houston 3 straight losses.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Myles Brundidge, hit a single. It helped Phoenix seize the win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Brundidge told a Phoenix Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
