Redlegs Lose Again, 5-1, to Humpbacks
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks got a stellar effort from pitcher Hervé Favier, helping Alaskan score a 5-1 win over the visiting Sacramento Redlegs. The losing skid has reached 7 games for Sacramento.
Turmero, Venezuela-born Gabriel Amezquita came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Humpbacks trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to right to put Alaskan on top.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Alaskan manager John Carney.
