Jeff Simpson led Boston to a triumph over Buckhead. The final score was 10-7. The shortstop went 3 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 4 runs and added 3 RBI. Boston reliever Armando Garay picked up the win to move to 3-3. Yoshii Ikeda suffered the loss. Today's win puts Boston at 18-14, while Buckhead falls to 16-16.

Simpson had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 cutter from Yoshii Ikeda, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Patriots a 8-7 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Simpson.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Simpson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
