Sacramento withstood an impressive performance by Hamilton third baseman Vincente Fuentes to defeat the Coyotes, 7-5, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Fuentes went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Frank Porter earned his 6th save in 10 tries. With the win, the Redlegs have a record of 21-27.

Sacramento took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jeff Perkins hit a run-scoring double to make it 6-5, Redlegs.
