Big Day for Curry as Buzz Down Coral Reefers, 7-5
|
A 3-RBI performance from Jackson Curry, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA with a .669 slugging percentage, helped the Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Key West Coral Reefers, 7-5. The winner was Salt Lake City reliever Matko Perisc, now 1-0. The loser was Javier Contreras. Andrew Holloway got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Orlando Casillas, who is tied for 4th in the 3AAA in bases on balls with 30, aided the Salt Lake City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Curry told the Salt Lake City Daily.
Salt Lake City has now won 7 straight.
