It was a fun time at The Bamboo Forest, where the Tortolita Drummers and Sioux Falls Red Pandas tangled.
Sioux Falls beat Tortolita at The Bamboo Forest, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Don Blessing, who earned player of the game honors. Blessing, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, catcher Ju-chan Pak came through big-time for the Red Pandas. With Sioux Falls leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
Pak called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Sioux Falls is 21-12 and Tortolita, with the loss, 15-18.
