Redlegs Cut Down Coral Reefers, 5-1
|
The Sacramento Redlegs got a stellar effort from pitcher John Bennett, helping Sacramento score a 5-1 win over the visiting Key West Coral Reefers. Sacramento is now 8-14, while Key West is 12-10.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Bennett was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Key West trailing 2-0, Bennett retired Miguel Montoya, who flied out.
