Salt Lake City turned a good effort from starter Dong-hwan Namgung into a win over the Houston BC at Spirits Stadium. The final score was 8-1. The winning pitcher was Namgung, now 1-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. Juan Rúbio recorded his 1st save for Salt Lake City.
Orlando Casillas had a big 2-run double for the Buzz in the bottom of the second inning. With Salt Lake City leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Nolan Howard and stroked the double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Buzz ahead, 4-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Namgung after the game.
Salt Lake City has a record of 5-9.
