Coyotes Lose, 5-2, at The Bamboo Forest
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 5-2, in M3L Triple A action at The Bamboo Forest, with Sioux Falls pitcher Don Blessing named player of the game. Sioux Falls reliever Salvador López got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Katsuyoshi Takuda was tagged with the loss. The Coyotes, at 4-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
Sioux Falls took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, pinch hitter Bartolo Benítez hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Blessing told the Sioux Falls Herald.
