Loss Extends New Orleans Losing Streak
|
Las Vegas starter Germán Rodríguez pitched effectively against the New Orleans Voodoo at The Strip. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Vaugh Chesser earned the save for Las Vegas, his 3rd. The losing streak for New Orleans has now reached 6 games.
In the bottom of the first, Xavier Hernández hit a run-scoring double for Las Vegas. The 6th double of the season for the Las Vegas second baseman put the Flamingos on top, 1-0.
Rodríguez expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
