Mosca Helps Cattlemen Run Win Streak to 3
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and Montana Pandas clash at Panda Park.
Roberto Mosca added some punch to the Ft. Worth offense, helping them outmuscle the Montana Pandas, 14-7. In the game, Mosca, who is rated as the 42nd best prospect by BNN, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Robbie Betchley got the win, improving to 4-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 5.
Also making an impact was right fielder Glen Allen Mixon, who drilled a single in the top of the third inning for the Cattlemen. For the game, Mixon was 2-6 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I like our moxie," said Cattlemen manager Scott Thompson.
Ft. Worth has 3 straight wins, Montana 3 straight losses.
