Anselmo Berneu left his imprint on the 4-3 Boston win against the D.C. Divided. Berneu, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in home runs with 6, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Boston is now 15-9.
Berneu had a game-changing single in the bottom of the 11th. On a 2-2 fastball from Roberto Silva, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Patriots a 4-3 lead. It was the 15th hit of the year for Berneu.
In postgame comments, Berneu said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
