Big Day by González Sparks Knights Win

The Kingston Township Knights topped the Quebec City Les Bleus, 10-3, in Menard's Third League action at Quebec City Coliseum. The player of the game was Kingston Township shortstop António González. Manny Castro was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Knights, now 1-2, have not found much traction so far in 2035.
One of the key players for the Knights was center fielder Alfredo Cardenas, who drilled a triple in the top of the first inning. For the game, Cardenas was 1-5 with a triple.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said González.
