Late Rally by Outlaws Secures Win
|
Nashville Outlaws starter Ángel Rosas turned in an exceptional performance against the Houston 1837 BBC at Nashville Stadium, resulting in a Nashville win, 3-2. The win was credited to Kenete Daku in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Yoriyoshi Sugimoto took the loss. The 1837 BBC, now 55-50, have lost 5 in a row.
The Outlaws were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Greg Schiff turned a 1-1 cutter from Yoriyoshi Sugimoto into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Nashville a thrilling 3-2 win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Schiff, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
