Coeur Subdue Richardson City, 2-0
|
St. Louis starter Lawrence Lane pitched effectively against the Richardson City Thundercats at The Thunder Dome. The left-hander led his team to a 2-0 win. Folkert van Huizen got the save, the 21st for him this season. The win puts the Coeur at 52-44, while the Thundercats drop to 43-53.
Count Dante helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give St. Louis a 2-0 lead.
"The old adage is true," said Dante. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
