Guerrero and Williams Brawl, League Suspends Them Wednesday, September 6th, 2034 After an intense confrontation, both the Deer Roberto Guerrero and the Canonniers de Quebec Bryan Williams were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Sheridan-Canonniers de Quebec game. Both players will miss 10 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Roberto Guerrero commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In 92 games Guerrero is hitting .259 this season with 83 hits, 5 home runs, 33 RBIs, 38 walks, .348 OBP and has scored 38 runs. So far this year Williams has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 2-0 with a 4.79 ERA. |
