Hit Streak Now at 25 for Hernández Tuesday, August 29th, 2034 Win or lose, Tony Hernández just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Ballard Beavers shortstop went 1-for-5 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 9-6 by the Sheridan Deer at Wranglers Ballpark. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Tony Hernández grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
