Baby Lakers, Stones Blank Revolvers Wednesday, August 9th, 2034 Fans at Ballpark of Day Valley witnessed the Bompton Baby Lakers blank the Santa Fe Revolvers, 5-0 behind a superb effort by starter Rutland Stones. The Bompton right-hander allowed 5 hits in recording the shutout. "Rutland was good today but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Bompton manager Chua-kah Liu said later. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it." So far this year Stones has made 5 starts, tossed 41.2 innings, struck out 32 batters and walked 7. His record is 4-1 with a 1.94 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .237 batting average.
