Felipe Dávila Named Premier SR Player
Tuesday, September 26th, 2034
He may have less experience than most of his USSL Rookie peers, but that didn't slow Felipe Dávila down at all in 2034.
At the age of 20, the Germantown first baseman has been named the winner of the USSL Rookie Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .387 batting average and a .477 on-base percentage this year. In 66 games he piled up 79 hits, 11 doubles, no triples, 17 home runs, 48 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
José Ortega of the Germantown Uruguayans finished second in voting, while Tim O'Brian of the Moose Jaw Canucks finished third.
