Baars Picks Up Best SR Batter Honors for August Friday, September 1st, 2034 Franklin Fire fans believe they've got a talented young star in Govaart Baars. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in August, as he hit .423 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. The end result was the second baseman being named the USSL Rookie Batter of the Month. To date, Baars has collected 104 hits for a .310 average. He has posted 13 home runs, scored 55 runs and driven in 66 runs. |
