Franklin No Match for Bolton Thursday, August 17th, 2034 Steve Bolton kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Germantown Uruguayans were all smiles after winning 7-0 against the Franklin Fire at Ballpark of Albuquerque today. The left-handed Bolton gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 5 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Bolton said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." So far this year Bolton has made 15 starts, tossed 109 innings, struck out 74 batters and walked 35. His record is 4-5 with a 4.71 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .288 batting average.
