Sawyer Selected PAA Player of the Week Monday, September 4th, 2034 25-year-old Mark Sawyer made a few Chesapeake headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .619 average. Sawyer collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. This season Sawyer is swinging the bat at a .281 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 17 times, while driving in 15. His on-base percentage is .383 and he has played in 37 games. |
