Farmers End Murray's Streak
Friday, June 9th, 2034
It was the best of both worlds for the Lancaster Farmers today at Farmers Field, as they defeated the Northville Eclipse 5-2 and also snapped Lonnie Murray's 20-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old Northville second baseman failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Murray, we just wanted to win the game," said Farmers skipper Luis Barroco. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Murray frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

Murray is hitting .246 so far this season with 15 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 32 hits including 2 home runs, 9 walks and .298 OBP.
