August's #1 Hurler Announced: Álvarez Friday, September 1st, 2034 Over the past month Alberto Álvarez has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the USSL Double A. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Northville Eclipse posted 3-1 mark and a 0.54 ERA. In 4 starts he tossed 33.1 innings, permitted 24 hits and fanned 23 batters. This year Álvarez has posted a record of 8 wins and 4 losses with a 3.87 ERA. He has appeared in 17 games and struck out 79 in 125.2 innings. |
