Rails Stop Loen at 34
Monday, May 29th, 2034
The hitting streak that Salem center fielder Soren Loen had kept going for 34 games was ended today by the Richland Rails. Loen was stymied over 3 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 3-0 victory at Ricochets Ballpark.

"Hitting streaks come and go," Loen said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."

In 22 games Loen is hitting .383 this season with 36 hits, 1 home run, 16 RBIs, 9 walks, .454 OBP and has scored 26 runs.
