Saelices Hits in 20 Straight Games Wednesday, September 13th, 2034 Mariano Saelices of the Salem Misfits extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 8-7 triumph over the San Antonio BC at San Antonio Field. "Mariano has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Misfits manager Allen Evans joked after the game. Mariano Saelices flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jordan Coffey in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This year Saelices is hitting .319, produced 73 RBIs and 15 home runs, scored 57 times and gotten on base at a .354 rate. |
