M3L Double A Announces August's Top Pitcher Friday, September 1st, 2034 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Allen Werner, a 21-year-old starter for the Durham Rapiers. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 1.62 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 33.1 innings, fanned 21 and held opposing teams to a .198 average. Over the season Werner has thrown 65.2 innings and dished out 54 strikeouts with a 7-3 mark and a 3.02 ERA. |
