Ben Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, July 30th, 2034 The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 14-7 to the Billings Polar Bears, but Marc Ben continued to hit like a god. The catcher collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Ben is playing great and is on fire right now," Thunder Hawks manager Mark Harrison said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Ben was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Marc Ben flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. In 57 games Ben is hitting .304 this season with 70 hits, 8 home runs, 33 RBIs, 24 walks, .370 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
