Whitehurst and Aguilar Brawl, League Suspends Them Saturday, August 19th, 2034 After an intense confrontation, both the Reserves Troy Whitehurst and the Lake Monsters Rodas Aguilar were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Athletic Club KC-Vermont game. Both players will miss 2 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Troy Whitehurst commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Whitehurst is hitting .277 so far this season with 36 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 59 hits including 11 home runs, 34 walks and .380 OBP. This season Aguilar has notched no saves with 77 strikeouts and 25 walks in 103.2 innings while registering a 3.91 ERA and a 6-3 won-lost record. |
