DeGeorge and Clement Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, July 17th, 2034 After an intense confrontation, both the Hotspur Reserves Jason DeGeorge and the Lake Monsters Pat Clement were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Phoenix-Vermont game. Both players will miss 9 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jason DeGeorge commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year DeGeorge has hit at a .291 clip with 35 RBIs, 6 home runs and 32 runs scored. To date this year Clement has won 0 and lost 2 with a 5.87 ERA, no saves and 13 strikeouts in 6 relief appearances. |
