Megarity and Yara Brawl, League Suspends Them Sunday, June 18th, 2034 After an intense confrontation, both the Longnecks Fletcher Megarity and the Supernovas Mapuana Yara were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Bloomington-Scranton game. Both players will miss 8 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Fletcher Megarity commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Megarity is hitting .268 so far this season with 11 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 22 hits including 2 home runs, 1 walk and .299 OBP. In the current season in 5 starts, Mapuana Yara has a record of 1-1 with 32 strikeouts in 33 innings and a 5.73 ERA. |
