Sánchez Rips Florida for 5 Hits
Thursday, May 11th, 2034
Rafael Sánchez put on a hitting clinic today as the Scranton Supernovas dumped the Florida Men 7-4 at Psychos Ballpark.
The Scranton right fielder made Florida defenders earn their pay, lashing Florida pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Sánchez said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Rafael Sánchez hit a two-run home run off Pedro Herrera in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In 5 games Sánchez is hitting .545 this season with 6 hits, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, 2 walks, .615 OBP and has scored 3 runs.
